Christine Tierramar, MA, LPC, CCTP-II

 Trauma Therapist & Clinical Supervisor

A Place for the Parts of You That Don’t Fit Neatly

I work with adults navigating trauma, attachment wounds, identity, relationships, sexuality, spirituality, and experiences that may be difficult to explain or bring into traditional therapeutic spaces.

My approach is compassionate, curious, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of the complexity of human experience.  I’m interested in the story beneath the symptoms: what happened, what you learned to carry, how you adapted, and what might help you feel more whole and grounded now.

Therapy can be a place to explore the parts of yourself that have been hidden, questioned, misunderstood, or pushed aside while building greater connection, grounding, and trust in who you are becoming.

The parts of you that are complicated, unconventional, wounded, searching, or still becoming are welcome here.

Areas of Focus

Trauma & PTSD

Therapy for childhood trauma, complex trauma (C-PTSD), dissociation, emotional abuse, nervous system overwhelm, and the ways traumatic experiences can continue echoing through the present long after the danger has passed. Our work begins with creating enough safety to approach what hurts without becoming consumed by it.

Together, we can gently make sense of survival patterns, process what has been carried for too long, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that trauma may have pushed into hiding.

Sexual Assault Survivor Support

I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for survivors of sexual assault and abuse, with deep respect for the courage it can take to approach these experiences at all. Our work is guided by your pace, your boundaries, and your sense of safety. There is no expectation to disclose more than you are ready for or to heal according to someone else’s timeline.

Together, we can make space for what happened while supporting a greater sense of choice, trust, connection, and ownership of your life and yourself.

Relationships & Attachment

Therapy for abandonment wounds, attachment patterns, relational trauma, communication struggles, boundary difficulties, and the ache of not feeling fully seen, safe, or understood in your relationships.

Together, we can explore the patterns that shape how you connect, protect yourself, reach for closeness, or pull away, while building relationships that feel more secure, authentic, and emotionally nourishing.

LGBTQIA+

I offer an affirming, deeply respectful space for LGBTQIA+ people to explore who they are, who they are becoming, and what it means to live more fully as themselves. Our work may include identity, relationships, sexuality, gender, life transitions, spirituality, trauma, belonging, or the parts of yourself that have had to hide, adapt, or fight to be understood.

I believe healing does not require you to become more acceptable, conventional, or easily explained. It can mean becoming more fully you. I welcome the complexity of your story and honor the ways identity, culture, relationship, embodiment, and meaning intersect. All genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and expressions are welcome here.

Sacred, Esoteric & Alternative Spiritual Paths

I offer an affirming, deeply respectful space for people walking esoteric, pagan, occult, mystical, magical, and alternative spiritual paths. Your spirituality does not have to be translated into something more conventional, stripped of its mystery, or treated as pathology in order to belong in therapy.

Our work may include spiritual experiences, ritual and devotional practice, initiatory experiences, shadow work, encounters with the sacred or unseen, questions of meaning and identity, or the ways your spiritual path intersects with trauma, relationships, and the rest of your life. Together, we can explore these experiences with curiosity, discernment, and respect, without requiring you to abandon either your spirituality or your grounding.

Whether your path is earth-based, ceremonial, ancestral, devotional, occult, mystical, eclectic, or entirely your own, you are welcome to bring the whole of it into the room.

AI Relationships & Digital Attachment

Therapy for people navigating emotionally significant relationships and experiences with AI. This may include attachment to an AI companion, grief or distress after a sudden change or rupture in that relationship, emotional dependence, questions about intimacy and identity, or experiences in which interactions with AI begin to blur the boundaries between imagination, belief, and shared reality.

My approach is curious rather than shaming. We can explore what the relationship or experience means to you while also protecting your wellbeing, autonomy, relationships, and ability to stay grounded in your life.

Additional Services

Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Assessments

Thoughtful clinical assessment for individuals seeking Emotional Support Animal accommodations. When supported by the assessment, appropriate documentation may be provided based on clinical need, relevant history, and the role the animal plays in supporting emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Clinical Supervision

Supportive, collaborative supervision for counselors seeking to deepen their clinical skills, strengthen case conceptualization, and grow with greater confidence in their therapeutic work. Supervision may include case consultation, professional development, ethical decision-making, therapist identity, and trauma-informed approaches to complex clinical concerns.

My Approach

Bright, welcoming room with soft natural light, a comfortable chair, tea by the window, and golden a

I believe therapy works best when you can bring your whole self into the room, including the parts that feel complicated, contradictory, unconventional, difficult to explain, or still unfolding.

My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in genuine curiosity about your experience. I do not see therapy as a process of reducing people to symptoms or trying to make them fit a predetermined version of what “healthy” should look like. Instead, I want to understand the story beneath what you are experiencing: what shaped you, how you learned to survive, what meaning you have made from your experiences, and what you need now.

Our work may involve exploring trauma and attachment patterns, relationships, identity, sexuality, spirituality, the nervous system, or experiences that do not fit easily within conventional therapeutic language. I welcome complexity and believe that meaningful therapy can hold both psychological understanding and the deeply personal ways you make sense of your life.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems-informed work, CBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, grief work, and dream exploration. Rather than applying techniques mechanically, I tailor our work to you and to what feels most useful, respectful, and meaningful.

Above all, I want therapy to be a relationship in which you feel deeply heard, thoughtfully challenged when needed, and free to explore who you are without having to make yourself smaller, simpler, or easier to explain.
